3 day tour in Vardzia

Day 1
Transportation from Tbilisi via Manglisi, Tsalka and Ninotsminda to guesthouse in Vardzia. On the road visit Paravani and Sagamo lakes, Poka monastery and Khertvisi castle. Diner and sleep at guesthouse Tirebi.

Day 2
Visit Tmogvi fortress, Vardzia and Upper Vardzia. In case of having more time also upper Tmogvi former village. Meals and sleep in guesthouse.

Day 3:
Visit Vanis kvabebi caves, Saro village, return to Tbilisi via Borjomi. Optional visit Borjomi park.

Abastumani tourism association

The Abastumani Tourism Association is a non-profit entity, whose members are legal and physical persons engaged in different spheres of tourism industry in Abastumani and surrounding area. Under its mission to make Abastumani one of Georgia’s attractive four-season tourism destinations, the association strives to become an umbrella for all the tourism-related organizations operating in Samtskhe-Javakheti region.
Goals of the Association:

• To enable visitors to take full advantage of the natural and cultural heritage of the area;
• To set up local tourism information centre;
• To support and organize the activities to preserve the tourist area, improve the tourist surroundings and protect the environment in the resort area;
• To train locals engaged in tourism industry to help market their services.
